Advanced Neurodiagnostics

Advanced Neurodiagnostics uses focused testing to help identify how the nervous system is functioning. By measuring electrical activity in the brain, nerves, and muscles, these tests give a clearer picture of what may be causing symptoms like numbness, weakness, tingling, or unexplained pain, helping guide the treatment plan that follows.

What the Testing Includes

  • EEG — records electrical activity in the brain, often used when evaluating seizure activity or other neurological concerns.
  • EMG/NCS — electromyography and nerve conduction studies assess how well muscles and peripheral nerves are communicating and functioning.
  • Evoked Potentials — measures how the nervous system responds to stimuli, helping evaluate the pathways connecting the brain to the rest of the body.

When This Testing Is Used

Patients are often referred for neurodiagnostic testing when they are experiencing symptoms such as radiating pain, muscle weakness, loss of sensation, or coordination changes. This testing can also support the evaluation of conditions related to the spine, nerve compression, or injury.

Supporting a Complete Picture

  • Guides treatment planning — results help determine whether therapy, further diagnostic imaging, or other care is appropriate.
  • Works alongside other on-site diagnostics — findings can be reviewed together with on-site MRI and X-Ray imaging for a fuller understanding of a patient's condition.
